Bran has written eight urban-romantic fantasy novels. Magus Maximus, the first to be published, was released in January 2023; a second, Breathe… always, was released that May.
Bran lives in the Puget Sound area of Washington State on America’s Left Coast and teaches the craft and art of writing at annual writing retreats on the Sound.

Nowhere in the known history of The Path is there any record of such powerful magic. The ancient headmaster cannot believe the unremarkable Jaydee could have caused the disaster and won’t accept her help to bring the dorm and the men inside back from the Otherworld.
Can Jaydee learn to trust her own hidden power enough to follow where it leads her?

When Evergreen Stem School senior Fina Stefani, an award-winning jazz mezzo-soprano, meets a new senior on the first day of class, her world is knocked askew. There’s something about green-eyed Tilley Jameson, the lesbian goth with a pitch-perfect alto voice, that threatens Fina’s boyfriend, Trevor Labowski.
Once Fina discovers the Jameson family is a safe harbor from her stormy alcoholic mother, Summer Kobayashi, and she spends more and more time with them, Trevor threatens to expose that her new friend’s family has magical powers. Fina must choose between her boyfriend and her new friend before an angry mob of witch hunters destroys the Jamesons and the other magicians in Seattle.
Will her loyalties — and love — cause her to choose Tilley and dump Trevor?

Bran’s current work in progress:
Identical twin college juniors Jess and Janis Capulet pull a magical practical joke on Dillon Caillat, a trans-male freshman, only to discover he might have been a good friend if they hadn’t tried the prank. When Virginia-Marie Afonso, Jess’ girlfriend, is seen kissing Janis, Jess has to decide what to do about the person she thought was her soulmate.
But when Janis begins to fall in love with Dillon, it’s only a matter of time before everything Janis values falls apart unless she can convince him she is telling the truth when he won’t speak to her.
The Capulet twins belong to the same magical Group as Tilley Jameson and Fina Stefani from Breathe… always.
